WELCOME TO ISWPT 2026

Water pollution, its treatment, and associated socioeconomic impacts have become critical global concerns. Increasing levels of water pollution are expected to significantly influence the hydrological cycle, ecological systems, and socioeconomic development. These changes may affect a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, tourism, and recreation. Despite uncertainties in future water management, there is substantial evidence indicating that water pollution will have profound impacts on both natural environments and human activities. Therefore, understanding its effects on hydrological, ecological, and socioeconomic systems has become a priority in both scientific research and water management strategies.

The International Symposium on Water Pollution and Treatment (ISWPT) provides an important platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, showcase recent advances, foster collaboration, and shape the future of this critical field. Following the successful on-site conference of ISWPT 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, the 9th International Symposium on Water Pollution and Treatment (ISWPT 2026) will be held in Hangzhou, China, from December 11 to 13, 2026.

ISWPT aims to become a leading annual conference in the fields of water pollution, treatment, and environmental protection. It seeks to present cutting-edge research findings and facilitate their application across interdisciplinary domains. The symposium will cover a wide range of topics, including water pollution control, adsorption technologies, groundwater contamination, wastewater treatment, industrial water treatment, and sewage management, among others.

Publication

Conference Proceedings
All papers, both invited and contributed, will be reviewed by 2-3 experts of the confererce committees. After rigorous review, all accepted papers of ISWPT 2025 will be published by
Springer: Environmental Science and Engineering
Indexed by Ei Compendex, Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, SCOPUS and SCImago, etc.
